Tuesday, July 25

We had lots of rain overnight. Rain sounds cool inside Shirley, it makes for good sleeping weather. After breakfast we did a nice twenty mile ride around the park. The park is really cool. It's a coastal park with an unending, undeveloped coastline, marshes, estuaries, it's gorgeous.

The highlight of the day was the little joint we found for dinner, Chez 5 Etoiles. One of the fun things of being on the road is finding restaurants, and I must say we're pretty effective at that. This place was fantastic, a small French bistro owned and run by an old dude who tended to every aspect of the operation. The food was impeccable. We had our first of many bowls of seafood chowder, a seafood pizza that was simply sublime, and a greek salad.

In the evening we hung with Shirley, Kari did a little knitting and I caught up on some reading.

Another successful day...
