Our first stop today was Niagara Falls, we were driving by so what the hell, gotta check it off the list. I've never been, Kari went as a small child and had only faint memories. It was fun, worth doing, but not worth much time. The falls themselves are cool.

The American side is a state park, very nice. The Canadian side? It's their Dollyworld, maybe worse.

Our podcast was an episode of Sisters in Law. They're four women lawyers/prosecutors who discuss the legal issues of the day. Between the antics of our former president and the end of the Supreme Court term, there was plenty of fodder. These ladies crack me up, they're very smart and experienced, but totally nerdy. They remind me of the ladies in the classic "Schweddy Balls" SNL sketch with Alec Baldwin as Pete Schweddy. Nothing like Pete's schweddy balls at holiday time! https://youtu.be/bPpcfH_HHH8

The drive was uneventful, though we did pass through some beautiful New York wine country, with vineyards lining the rolling hills. Like last year, Kari has to deal with my prickly personality through bouts of road-induced boredom. She's a good sport:) I have a new gadget to monitor, a battery monitor, so I can monitor the status of our lithium batteries in real time. It adds to my random reporting on our many other devices-trailer light checks, trailer tire temp and pressures, miles to empty, truck tire pressures, average speed, trip duration, trailer blind spot settings, transmission temp, accumulated miles, and of course the worst, average mpg's. We're hangin right around 12 mpg's so far, good thing gas prices are down this year...

We're also getting used to Shirley's small spaces again, and the rules one must follow. No passing in the hallways, have a spot for every item, put everything away religiously, etc. One trait we share is an innate, anal, neat freak nature, which comes in handy:)

We ended the day at another Harvest Host joint, the Spook Hill Bar and Grill in Adams Center, NY. It's set on a farm, we perched Shirley in the field and headed to the bar for dinner. Kari caught a really cool red moon photo over the pond:

Another successful day...
