Sunday, July 23

Today dawned sunny and beautiful. We did a nice six mile walk around the park and town. The only problem is it started out as a hike around a mountain. It's an understatement to say that neither one of us is a descendant of Magellan, and coupled with the eternal male/female friction regarding directions, we managed to miss the trail.

We hit a brewery in town for some BBQ, wings, and a couple cold brews.

We lounged on the river in the afternoon. Kari did some yoga and listened to her book, I caught up on a few podcasts and listened to some tunes. Kari whipped up a chicken schwarma dish for dinner, as always it was fantastic. For dessert we dove into our last carton of Graeters topped with local strawberries. The berries here are sublime.

The sunset was gorgeous.

Then, serendipity struck. Check out the food truck that pulled up in the site next to us.

A wife/husband duo run the truck, (she’s from Thailand) and it travels throughout Canada. They had additional staff and additional vehicles, it was quite the operation. We chatted the guy up, he gave us a coupon, and we had a lunch date for tomorrow.

Another successful day...
